Poker is a card game where players compete to earn chips from their opponents. Each hand consists of five cards, and if one or more players has a hand that beats the others, the pot is won.

There are many variations of the game, but the best-known ones include Omaha, 7-card stud, and texas hold’em. Aside from the usual suspects, there are hundreds of other variations on the game. Some of these include the three-card brag, a game popular in the U.S. during the American Revolution.
The term ‘brag’ is a bit misleading, since the object is actually to bluff your opponent. It was a popular gentleman’s game during that period.
The game has several different variants, including the ‘rock’ and the ‘crap’. In the ‘rock’ variant, players try to make a hand that is as tight as possible, while in the ‘crap’ variation, the goal is to be the first to bluff out the entire pot.
One of the more intriguing poker types is the ‘rollup’, which combines the aforementioned 3 card brag with the ‘rollup’, the name for the most common side bet in poker. This is done by adding an extra card to the deck, which is not normally used.
